Screening & Assessment

Each AIESEC Community pre-screens and assesses candidates for their abilities and potential to participate in an AIESEC traineeship, in addition to being assessed according to requests based upon the specific needs and desires of your company. We source top talent with multiple languages and experiences from all major fields, providing you with top international and qualified talent.


Profile and Selection

When you agree to take on an AIESEC trainee in your organization, we tailor the partnership to meet your organizationfs strategic objectives and set up specific sourcing and delivery models to support the operation of the program. The information that you provide us describing what youfre looking for in a trainee is incorporated into our international database where it can be viewed by potential student candidates. Upon the aligning of interests, objectives and requirements of both the company and the student through the above processes, an interview then takes place, and, if successful, a match between the company and student has occurred.


Coordination of International Movement

AIESEC provides a visa service through an expeditious sponsorship of the J-1 work visa anywhere from 2-18 months. We coordinate local housing for the trainee, transportation from the airport, and provide local area support to help them with cultural integration and to help strengthen their personal network. We facilitate an orientation session and welcome reception for the student upon their arrival to the United States and help them in feeling as welcome and at home as possible.


Evaluations and Re-Integration

Throughout the traineeship period, evaluations are administered for both the company and the trainee to ensure the experience is a meaningful and impactful one. This helps ensure that future exchanges remain impactful and that your relationship with AIESEC in the future is a valuable and effective partnership. Re-integration into their home country is coordinated by us with the option of full-time rehiring by your company.


Cost-effectiveness

Trainees work full-time, usually for non-competitive monthly wages, and are exempt from many taxes, including FICA & FUTA. Additionally, trainees pay for the cost of transportation to the United States. Traineeships are sourced from all major fields and specific skill-sets can be matched. Trainees also aid in the areas of project work, alleviation of seasonal loads, and worker shortages.
